Safety at GoJuip
Built into every trip, not bolted on after.
Every rider and driver on GoJuip has a right to feel safe. This page explains the safety systems we run, what they mean for you in practice, and how to get help when you need it.
Before the trip
- Verified drivers. Every driver passes ID, driving-licence, vehicle-papers, and vehicle-inspection checks before their first trip. Documents that expire trigger an automatic suspension until renewed.
- Verified riders. Riders sign in with a phone-number OTP. Repeat offenders are blocked across the platform.
- Two-way ratings and review. Persistent low ratings on either side trigger a real human review.
During the trip
- Panic button. One tap. Your live location, driver, vehicle plate, and trip ID go to your saved trusted contacts and our 24/7 safety desk.
- Share trip. Send a live tracking link to anyone — no app required. The link expires when the trip ends.
- Masked-number calling. Riders and drivers can call each other in-app without exposing personal phone numbers.
- Off-route alerts. If your trip deviates significantly from the expected route, we surface a check-in inside the app and prompt you to use the panic button if needed.
- Trip telemetry. Pickup, route, drop-off, and timing are recorded for dispute resolution and incident review.
After the trip
- Report an incident. Open the trip in the app → Help → Safety incident, or email safety@goju.app.
- Lost item recovery. Tap Help → Lost item to contact your driver through the masked number.
- Driver standards. Confirmed safety violations result in immediate deactivation and, where appropriate, referral to law enforcement.
